It’s filled with twists and turns, new powers, new friends, old friends, Alinthia’s desperation to find her guys, and the horrible things the guys suffer at the hands of Alandra!When I read this I went through a myriad of emotions and back again! I felt frustration, tenseness, sadness, laughter, anger, surprise, irritation, happiness, worry and of course feeling all warm and fuzzy. Lol...it’s hard to believe one book could pull all this from you, but this one does. It’s like a crazy rollercoaster ride, like none I’ve ever been on. It does get a bit dark at times, not such nice times. *head bowed*Tori/Alinthia totally rocks as she trains and learns to develop and control her powers more. I love some of the training scenes! Siobhan does a really great job in writing those. I felt like I could picture them so well. With so much in this book I felt that way. I kept thinking wow, I’d love to see this made into a movie!!! The action in it rocks!!I’m looking forward to the Audible on this!! I’ve listened to it on the first two and it is SO GOOD!! The narrators are top quality!! This one will probably be the best on Audible!!I love this series!! It’s definitely one of my favorite series and I recommend it highly!! Whether you read it or listen to it on Audible, you will love it!!!FIVE WARRIOR PRINCESS STARS!!!
My heart is torn up over everything that went down in this installment! I can’t even process how I feel about what Dane went through... and I have a feeling we will find out so much more about what happened in the next book! Truthfully, I’m so messed up about that aspect of this story that all of the other plot twists and MC progression into this all powerful savior really aren’t registering as too important for me. Alandra and Zorc deserved way, way worse than what they got. I really hated them! I have to say other authors would shy away from causing such trauma and damage to the RH unit, but dude, Davis is not afraid to go there and rip out your heart in the process... As painful the emotions this story brought out, it just made me fall harder under the spell of this series... This is no average RH series... These MCs have a built relationship with all its highs and lows... They are not just cookie cutter insta-love rainbows and unicorns couples... There is actual realistic conflict amongst their unit... I have become invested in their struggle, and can’t wait for Alinthia to break down every wall.
I am not the usual RH fan, but I am the fan of YA/NA/Contemporary romance as well as of almost any type of Paranormal/Sci-Fi/etc. story and, of course, a great fan of Siobhan Davis' books. Although, RH is not the type that I would search for when I want to discover a new reading material. But this series (and this (3rd) book itself) was a surprise. Why?First of all, the story finally developed and Tori grew more mature and felt like an adult (not only by Verron standards). Second, the decisions made by others, especially Dane were hard, but necessary, however, it was really difficult to read some of the scenes with him. I do not want to spoil the surprise to other readers and write anything more about this part, but a warning is needed - there are hard scenes that actually, if had been written more graphic, would have been nauseating. Thanks to the author that she did not write them too graphic. I already felt bad as Dane is my favorite of the boys.Sometimes I could not understand Tori. One time she feels like real adult and forgiving person, the next - a toddler or teenage girl with no power over herself. She is such a child with racing hormones.The ending promises more action and I even cannot think of anything that can be written more - this book had it all - angst, romance, hard decisions, mature scenes, a bit of torture etc.P.S. I still do not like Cooper.. he is so nauseatingly in love... too sweet for my liking.
Yowza!!! If you think Alinthia and the guys have been through the wringer before....suffice to say you haven't seen anything yet! From the second she opens her eyes in the opening of this book the poop hits the fan and she kicks butt! In this book she truly becomes the Savior everyone is expecting her to become....and woe to anyone that gets in her way!!! She and the guys are desperate to find their way back together....New friends, old friends, traitors oh my....lots and lots along the way...and a few friendly enemies in the mix to act as punching bags along the way *wink*.....I LOVED this book...Especially how Alinthia truly rose to the occasion and showed the warrior queen she is becoming. Get ready for oodles of action (fighting) and alien political maneuvering along the way. I can't wait to see what happens next!!
I loved this series from chapter one in the first book. It was my first reverse harem experience and it totally hooked me (I’ve read many others now). I love Siobhan’s writing. She is very good at capturing emotions and creating a clear picture for you, i haven’t been able to put down any of her books!This book was a little different than the first two. It was darker, and Alinthia is separated from her guys for most of the story. The turmoil that each character goes through in this book is heart wrenching! I was very happy when they eventually get reunited. Alinthia does a lot of growing in this book and is turning out to be one kick a** heroin. The book does end quite abruptly and i am so anxious to read the next one, can’t wait!
